MMM - Someone to Watch Over Me

So today I was cleaning up from the children's Christmas musical. I had my internet radio on and ended up listening to some big band/standards era stuff. One of the songs that me up was the Frank Sinatra version of Someone to Watch Over Me. (hear it here) As I was listening to this song, it got me thinking, Isn't this one of the deepest desires of everyone? To have someone that will be there for you. Someone who loves you for who you are and you can show your love back to as well.

Sometimes life can drag us down and make us feel so alone and like no one even cares. Even though we can feel like that some days there is one thing we can be sure is true. See the one thing I realized as I was listening to this song is that no matter how I feel or what day of the week it is or what problems I might be having, God is there watching over me. He has a plan for everything that happens in my life. Now obviously that doesn't mean that everything will go well and be easy, but it does mean that we have someone there.

Need some more encouragement...check out Psalm 121:1-4

MMM - The Words I Would Say by Sidewalk Prophets

Its Monday again so that mean its time for another Meaningful Media Monday post. My hope is that you will be encouraged to get through the week.

Check out this youtube video of the song. Its a live recording of the band in the Klove studio.

The chorus of the song goes...
Be strong in the Lord and,
Never give up hope,
You're going to do great things,
I already know,
God's got His hand on you so,
Don't live life in fear,
Forgive and forget,
But don't forget why you're here,
Take your time and pray,
These are the words I would say,

This is my prayer for all of you. God is there to help us through everything that comes our way but it is so easy to forget that in the rough world in which we live.

May God bless your week and may you live in His strength.
