See The Future Now

So in the future we will all be able to sleep while we are on our way to work. Our cars will drive themselves and all we have to do is tell it where we want to go. This is at least one of my dreams of the future. (best sleep I ever get is a car). Anyways...I was super excited when I came across the Google's self-driving car several months ago. The car and idea is awesome but the tech behind being able to do that is even cooler. However, most of that tech (outside of GPS) is pretty expensive and not available to the nontech professional. If you are like me at all you are impressed easily by anything that seems cool and futuristic. Well I found somethign like what will be used in the cars of the future. This android only app monitors the distance between cars in front of you while you drive. It actually works pretty well. If you are interested check it out. Its called iOnRoad.

Some day I will get to sleep all the way to work but till that day I will enjoy everything I can as we get towards that day.

When I Was Your Age....

Seems like every conversation I have with one of my students at church ends up with me saying something along the lines of "When I was your age..." or "You really don't know what I'm talking about do you?" People say I'm not old and I agree but I certainly feel like it. I finally figured out the reason why this is true.

Most of us feel like we can't remember a time where we weren't using those type things but truth is most of the electronic and online things we use today didn't exist 15  years ago. Everyone under the age of 20 has a hard time remembering at time when stuff didn't exist. Check out this article to see just how different things were only 5, 10, or 15 years ago.
